Handshake is still one of the best tools to assist with your job and internship search. Sign-in using your VMI credentials and set-up your profile. You can explore employers, jobs, internships, and virtual events, all in one place. Just make sure that your profile is complete: employers are more likely to reach out to cadets with a complete profile. New Funding Opportunity for Cadets

Internship Supplemental Funding

Will you be participating in an internship this summer that is unpaid or doesn't pay enough to cover your expenses? Don't let your funding needs cause you to miss out on opportunities for personal and professional development.

Funding will be awarded on an as-needed basis and can be used to supplement costs associated with securing an internship, such as cost of transportation, room and board, professional attire/uniforms, and materials and supplies. Funds will be allocated to students who demonstrate need, with preference given to Pell-eligible students

You may apply for up to $8000 if you are partaking in an unpaid internship or up to $4000 if you are partaking in a paid internship.

Note: Cadets must be committed to returning to VMI next semester to be eligible.

Please stop by the Office of Career Services, 311 Carroll Hall, with any questions.
