There are three regular meetings of the Board each year. Specific dates for regular meetings are set by the Secretary of the Board upon consultation with, and the concurrence of, the President of the Board and the Superintendent. The Board’s last regular meeting of the academic year is designated as its Annual Meeting.

Special meetings of the Board may be called by the President of the Board, the Superintendent, by a majority vote of the Executive Committee, or by the request of a majority of the members of the Board.

The Virginia Military Institute Board of Visitors Executive Committee is conducting an in-person meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the offices of McGuireWoods, Gateway Plaza, 800 E. Canal St., Richmond, VA 23219. VMI business will be discussed by participating members.

The meeting is open to the public. For those who do not provide advance notice of attendance, a government ID will be required to gain access to the building.

There will be no public comment at this meeting. Written comments may be submitted to BOVSecretary@vmi.edu. Written comments received by close of business on Monday, September 9, 2024, will be distributed to members of the committee in advance of the meeting.

The Virginia Military Institute Board of Visitors is conducting meetings on Sept. 16 - 18, 2024, during the times indicated on the meeting schedule posted in the Upcoming Meetings section of the VMI Board of Visitors website. All meetings will be held at various locations throughout the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Va. in accordance with the meeting schedule. Virginia Military Institute business will be discussed by the members in attendance. The meeting is open to the public.
