LEXINGTON, Va., Sept. 7, 2024—Maj. Molly Kent, assistant professor in the Department of Biology at Virginia Military Institute, will discuss the level of stress in rats based on their home and lifestyle, and what these lessons have taught her about human stress, on the public radio program, “With Good Reason,” Sept. 7-14.

In addition to Kent, the upcoming show, “Terrapins and Terriers,” will feature Randy Chambers from William & Mary, Robert Arrowood from the University of Virginia College at Wise, and Tara Pelletier from Radford University. The episode will share how terrapins, once a culinary delicacy, were hunted to almost extinction and what their current threats are now, and how shelter dogs are finding their forever homes with some new training practices. The show will also dive into the world of undiscovered species of animals lurking in plain sight.
