LEXINGTON, Va., Aug. 18, 2016 – Virginia Military Institute will again provide a live webcast of the Matriculation Day welcome ceremony this Saturday, Aug. 20.

During the ceremony, Gen. J.H. Binford Peay III ’62, VMI superintendent, will address the new cadets and their parents, and the regimental commander and cadet company captains will introduce themselves.  The new cadets – expected to number more than 500 – will form up for the first time on the Cameron Hall floor.  The ceremony and webcast will end as they march out of Cameron Hall and up to barracks to begin their training.

The webcast will begin at 2 p.m.
